Classes

Classes are conducted in small groups, enabling an individual approach to be taken to each student. These groups are formed on the basis of language ability and age, with ability determined by a placement test and conversation with a teacher. Students enjoy the benefit of audio-visual aids, whether recordings, wall charts, games or the like, and are also able to make use of the Internet and computer programs.

After hours

All of our students may take advantage of FREE individual consultations, computer classes, film screenings in the original and our lending library of books and magazines.

Students gain access to our multimedia room, which houses computer equipment, a television, a VCR, a DVD player and a radio and cassette and CD player. We also have at our disposal a multimedia projector for group activities. Besides Internet access, we are able to offer a dozen or more satellite television channels and radio stations in a variety of languages.

Coursebooks

During lessons we make use of coursebooks from reputable publishing houses, as well as our own materials drawn up by teachers utilising sources of contemporary language use, whether the Internet, the press or television. In use too are board games, pictures and source materials, for instance underground maps, guides and public transport timetables. In addition, every classroom is equipped with educational wall charts, maps and other teaching aids for greater convenience during lessons.

Programmes

Our centre offers standard, conversation, as well as programmes for children of a range of ages.

We also conduct specialist language learning programmes on business and tourism. In addition, we are able upon request to organise non-standard courses adapted to the individual needs of a client. In this case, the details of the programme are established with a consultant, these including profile, intensity, coursebook, time and location, as well as price and payment conditions.

Language teaching levels

We provide Polsh language courses for children, teenagers and adults at six levels of ability, each of them one year in length.

For the youngest children, in the six to nine age group, we offer courses at three levels of ability with a course intensity of two 50-minute meetings per week. These levels are:

  • elementary
  • midway
  • intermediate

Courses for children are led by staff specialising in this type of teaching. They demonstrate a tremendous creativity and flexibility and make use of diverse teaching aids such as jigsaw puzzles, building blocks, pictures and puppets.
